Prom EtiquetteBe prompt! Prom night is not the night to be "fashionably late". Done make your prom date wait for you. If you are funning a little behind, give your date the courtesy of calling to let him know. No regrets! This is a night you want to remember forever so don't do anything that you will look back on and say "what was I thinking!" So think through your actions and be safe! Be polite to parents. Your parents are probably just as excited as you are and going to want to take many photos of your special prom night. This may get annoying but don't get an attitude; you'll be extremely thankful after the dance and when you are older. Also, your date's parents will probably want to go through the same thing but be patient. Be nice to your date, even if he is not "the one". He has put a lot of effort into this night too. Give him compliments and don't run off with someone else at the prom. Respect other prom-goers. This means being polite to everyone! This is a night everyone considers "Their Night" so don't ruin it for someone else. And don't cancel at the last minute unless it is an emergency. Don't primp in public. This is what the restroom is for. Practice your dinner manners. Don't shovel food in your mouth like you're at a truck stop and pay attention to basic eating manners.
